ABOU T ME
My name is Hayley, and my aim is to create amazing cakes that not only look good but taste it too! The more challenging, the better!
Where it all began...
I’ve been baking on and off since I was young, starting off with those little Tom and Jerry mixes with my Mum.
I began baking as an adult for fun, stress relief and to suit my feeder tendencies (the boyfriend was very supportive of a steady stream of cupcakes).
Starting a new adventure...
It started off with cakes for family – they were more for taste rather than the eye. Mainly cupcakes and Victoria sponges and then I got a bit more ambitious and moved on to bigger buttercream cakes. Within a few months I made a fire breathing dragon!
Soon after that I started receiving requests to bake celebration cakes from friends and family, and this grew so I decided to make it official.
Important Information
The Baked Necessities is a home baking business based in Wickford, Essex, registered with the local authority, Basildon Council. (Moved from Bulphan, Essex January 2023)
I have completed Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering with High Speed training.
